I have been actively racing dogs since 1986. Specializing in long-distance racing, I have also competed in sprint and stage races. I keep a kennel of about 20 dogs, including puppies and retired dogs. Currently I have 25 dogs in my yard; 3 that I am babysitting, 5 SCL dogs, and 17 of my own. I have competed in more that 50 races of 200 miles or more. 1991-2003 I have never placed lower that 6th in a continuous race of 100 miles or more, nor lower than 11th in any race. Wins include Yukon Quest, Copper Basin 300, Klondike 300, Kinik 200, U.P. 200, Mid-Minnesota 150 and others.

My focus is training; I believe that almost any dog is a good dog and can be trained to be competitive. Far too many sled dogs are being dumped at our shelters because their owners have not taken the time to realize their potential. My goal is to help the dog become all he casn become and match him with the proper home.
